First Day: We start by picking you up between 7:30 am to 8:00 am from the city center. We begin the tour with a brief explanation by the guide about the city and Yura. Our first stop is the Salinas and Aguada Blanca National Reserve (Pampa Cañahuas), a preserved place of flora and fauna. We will take photos with nature. Our next stop is Patahuasi, where we can observe rock formations. Continuing through the Toccra wetlands, we will encounter South American camelids and Andean birds. We will also visit the highest point, Patapampa, along with various volcanoes, just minutes away from reaching Chivay.
In the district of Chivay, we have lunch and transfer you to your chosen hotels. In the afternoon, we gather to visit the thermal baths of Yanque Chacapi or La Calera in Chivay. In the evening, we attend the folk peña, where you can have dinner and enjoy a folk show with typical dances of the province, accompanied by live musicians playing Latin American songs.
Second Day: Early in the morning, we have breakfast at the hotel and start the journey towards the Cruz del Condor. As the first point, we visit the town of Yanque, where we appreciate its Immaculate Conception Church and witness the traditional dance called 'WITITI,' declared Cultural Heritage of Humanity. We head towards the Cruz del Condor, where we take a walk and have the opportunity to observe the flight of the condor along with the canyon. Then, we return and pass through one of the important districts, Maca, where we can buy local handicrafts with handmade embroidery. We will also taste their typical drink, the Colca Sour. Around 12 pm, we will be in Chivay, where we enjoy our lunch. The cuisine of Colca is rich in proteins and vitamins, and we can taste Alpaca meat, Trout, Quinoa, Potatoes, and other local products. We conclude our journey at the Plaza de Armas.
