We start our journey very early, at 3:00 am, to head to Chivay, the capital of the Caylloma Province. In this town, we have our breakfast and then proceed to the Cruz del Condor. We will observe the flora and fauna of the Colca Canyon. Upon reaching the viewpoint, we can enjoy a walk and take photos of the flight of the Andean condor, which is named a cultural and natural heritage of South America. Then, we head to important viewpoints like Huayra Punko in Pinchollo and the Antahuilque viewpoint to observe some pre-Inca hanging tombs and models. During our tour, we also pass through one of the important districts, Maca, where we can buy local handicrafts with handmade embroidery. We will also taste their typical drink, the Colca Sour. Around 11 am, we will arrive at the thermal pools of Yanque, where we can take a relaxing bath in the thermo-medicinal waters. We then arrive at Chivay to enjoy our lunch. The cuisine of Colca is rich in proteins and vitamins, and we can taste Alpaca meat, Trout, Quinoa, Potatoes, and other local products. Before returning to the city, we make a final stop at the highest viewpoint, Mirador de los Volcanes, and conclude our journey at the Plaza de Armas.
